Courtney Thorne Smith Bio

American actor Courtney Thorne Smith (born November 8th 1997). She is best known for her roles on Melrose Place, Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal, Cheryl in According to Jim and her regular role on Two and a Half Men as Lyndsey McElroy. Thorne Smith was raised in Menlo Park in the south of San Francisco. Her father, Walter Smith, was a computer market researcher as was her mother, Lora Thorne, was a Therapist. They divorced when Courtney was just seven, and she lived with both parents in various stages. She has an older sister, Jennifer who works as an advertising executive. In 1985, she graduated from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California. When she was in high school, she appeared with the Ensemble Theater Company of Mill Valley. Thorne Smith's first movie appearance was in the feature film drama Lucas. The film was co-produced by Winona Ryder (Corey Haim) as well as Charlie Sheen. In the 1980s, she appeared in a number of films including Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II : Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (87) and Side Out (1990). In 1998, she was an actress in the box office chairman of the board, a failure, with Carrot Top. In 2009, she appeared in Sorority Wars. In the early 1990s, Thorne-Smith began a relationship with Andrew Shue, her on-screen lover from Melrose Place. In June 2000, the actress was married geneticist Andrew Conrad; the couple ended their relationship in January of 2001. Roger Fishman (president of Zizo Group Zizo Group, a marketing company) and author of What I Know was her wedding date. On the 11th of January, 2008, when she was 40 years old she gave birth to Jacob Emerson Fishman, her son. Jacob Emerson Fishman.
